Price of waterproofing membrane construction.

There are two main methods for the construction of waterproofing membranes: cold construction method and hot construction method. Cold construction method is generally suitable for synthetic polymer waterproofing membranes and high polymer modified asphalt membranes. Before construction, the base surface needs to be cleaned first. The base surface should be relatively dry, with a moisture content of<8%, and should be flat, firm, and free of sanding, bulging, concave SBS waterproofing membranes, and convex cracks. After inspection, the base layer treatment is formed. Professional base layer treatment agents are used to apply to the base surface. After the processing machine dries, the adhesive agent should be applied evenly. During the laying process, attention should be paid to the overflow of the lap joint. After bonding with adhesive, the SBS waterproofing membrane should be compacted with a roller. If double layer is needed, please pay attention to the first layer. Misalignment with the second layer longitudinal seam.

The hot construction method first involves cleaning the base surface, which is the same as the previous method. It will not be repeated. When laying the roll material, use a liquefied gas spray lamp to heat the base layer and the ground of the roll material, melting a thin layer of asphalt on the surface. While baking, roll the roll material forward and compact it with a pressure roller. However, when baking the roll material, be sure to handle it properly. Do not bake the roll material, and maintain even melting of asphalt, so that there will be no warping during laying.

As for the construction price, there is no specific quotation. Firstly, you need to know whether the SBS waterproof material is polyester tire or composite tire. Secondly, whether it is one layer or two layers, with half of the first layer not less than 4mm and each layer having a thickness of 3mm. Nowadays, polyester tires are generally used, with one layer costing around 35 yuan per square meter and two layers costing around 55 yuan per square meter.

1) Grassroots treatment.

Before laying the waterproof layer, all other works must be completed, and then the base layer must be cleaned. The base surface must be flat, sturdy, free of looseness, sanding, bulging, unevenness, and cracks. If the above phenomenon occurs, TPO waterproof membrane must be repaired with cement mortar with 107 glue. In addition, it must be ensured that the base surface is relatively dry, with a moisture content of no more than 9%. The parapet wall, internal and external corners, through wall pipes, expansion joints, and drainage slopes should meet the design requirements.

2) Laying of waterproofing membrane.

① Cold bonding construction method.

a， Apply a layer of petroleum based base treatment agent (cold primer oil) evenly on the base layer first.

b， After the base treatment agent has dried, adhesive (chloroprene adhesive or SBS adhesive) can be applied uniformly in one coat.

c， After placing the modified coil in the predetermined position, start laying it, leaving a 10cm overlap seam in both the longitudinal and transverse directions. Use adhesive to stick it flat, dry for a few minutes, and then compact it with a roller.

d， If the project requires double-layer waterproof polymer self-adhesive film waterproof roll, the longitudinal joints of the second layer must be staggered by at least one-third from the first layer, and the transverse joints must be staggered by more than 1 meter.

② Hot melt construction method.

a， Apply base treatment agent (same as cold construction method).

b， Place the coil in the predetermined position, heat the base layer and the bottom surface of the coil with liquefied gas or gas oil spray lamp, wait for a thin layer of asphalt on the surface to melt, roll the coil forward while baking, and compact it with a pressure roller.

Attention: Adjust the flame size to melt the asphalt on the surface of the coil. Do not flow too much, let alone bake it through.

c， The overlap of the roll material is 10cm in both longitudinal and transverse directions, and it is sealed by baking with a spray gun.

d， Double layer waterproofing, the seams of the rolls must be staggered according to regulations.

e， When the thickness of the coil is less than 3mm or the covering material is aluminum liquid coil film, hot melt construction method should not be used.

3) Detail handling.

The base layer at the intersection of the overflow and the roof should be made into obtuse angles or arcs. The height of the waterproof layer rolling up to the vertical surface should not be less than 250mm, usually 300mm. The sealing of the roll material should be tight to prevent water leakage at the sealing point. The waterproof eaves of the roll material can be divided into several forms such as free falling water, external overhanging eaves, and internal gutters of the parapet wall.

After the waterproof membrane is laid, it must be well protected to avoid affecting the waterproof effect. A 300mm × 300mm expanded perlite insulation block is laid on the waterproof layer, and a 3cm thick cement mortar protective layer is added on top of it. Steel wire mesh is laid in this layer, and the protective layer is divided into grid joints, which are filled with sealing materials to better protect the waterproof layer.
