Construction requirements and prevention of defects for waterproofing membrane

1. Environmental requirements.
As people attach great importance to the quality of living and home furnishings, the requirements for building waterproofing projects are becoming increasingly high. In order to ensure the quality of construction operations and waterproofing membrane laying, the working temperature in the room should be around+50C to+350C average temperature, while the hot melt method for laying waterproofing membrane can be constructed at an average temperature standard of around -100C.
2. Requirements for roof drainage slope.
In the construction technology of waterproofing membrane, the slope of the drainage pipe on the flat roof is 2% to 3%. When the slope is below the range, the construction plan is to use raw materials to find the slope. If it exceeds 3%, the construction method of finding the slope is adopted. 3. Treatment of gaps and cracks in the roof base layer.
If the base layer is a precast concrete slab, and the total width of the gap between the slabs is less than 20mm, pea gravel concrete should be used for joint filling. Note that the particle size of the crushed stone should not exceed 10mm, and the compressive strength grade of the PVC waterproofing membrane should not be lower than C20. When the total width of the gap between slabs exceeds 40mm, 1 ф 6 building steel bars or building steel bars equipped according to the layout requirements should be installed in the joint. After pouring the joint concrete, it should be immediately covered and poured for maintenance for 7 days. When the strength grade of the concrete exceeds C15, construction can be resumed.
If the base layer is a cast-in-place slab concrete structure, if there are cracks in the slab during operation, a carpenter should first chisel the cracks into a 15-20mm wide and deep inverted octagonal groove. Then, the stone slag should be removed, the pipe trench should be blown clean, and the crack should be filled with sealant every 15 minutes in two to multiple times. After filling the cracks, they should be leveled with a rolling bucket.
1、 Waterproof membrane leakage.
Reason for TPO waterproofing membrane analysis:.
(1) At the corners, the joints and closures of the roll material are tightly laid and sealed by welding. However, when pouring the main structure, the roll material at this location is damaged.
(2) For areas with high stress on the roll material such as internal and external corners and corners, additional reinforcement layers should be added according to regulations.
(3) The selected roll material has poor toughness and is inconvenient to operate at corners. To ensure a tight laying of the roll material at corners.
(4) Leakage around the pipeline, inadequate cleaning and rust removal of the pipeline surface, and dead corners around the pipe penetration area make it unsuitable for laying the roll material.
Preventive measures:.
(1) Make the corners of yin and yang into a circular arc shape, and carefully inspect the joints, welds, and closures after construction.
(2) At the corner, a reinforced layer of polymer self-adhesive film waterproofing membrane should be laid first, and tightly pasted. It is recommended to choose a membrane with high elongation and good toughness.
(3) There should be no lap joint between the facade and the plane at the corner, and the lap joint should be left on the plane, not less than 600mm away from the facade.
(4) The waterproof layer of the roll material at the through wall pipeline is tightly laid, resulting in mouth opening and edge curling, which leads to leakage. The through wall pipeline must be carefully derusted and dusted, kept clean, and ensure that the waterproof layer of the roll material is firmly bonded to the pipeline. When applying a leveling layer around the through wall pipeline, the root of the pipeline should be rounded to a diameter of not less than 50mm, and the waterproof layer of the roll material should be laid according to the corner requirements.
2、 The waterproof membrane is hollow.
Reason analysis:.
(1) The base layer of the wet liquid roll material is not yet dry after leveling, with a high moisture content and weak connection, resulting in hollowing.
(2) The surface was not cleaned carefully, and the facade was not laid properly. The difficulty in operating during hot work resulted in uneven and lax laying.
Preventive measures:.
(1) Before the waterproofing construction of the roll material, the moisture content of the base layer should be tested to meet the requirements before construction can proceed.
(2) When the groundwater level is high, it should be lowered to 500mm below the cushion layer to prevent the base layer from becoming damp due to capillary water rising.
(3) Before laying the waterproofing membrane, the base layer should be treated to ensure that the membrane is laid tightly, tightly, and firmly.
(4) When laying the roll material, the temperature should not be lower than 5oC, and the construction process should ensure the construction humidity of the bonding material.
